About this site
About Low Dose GLP-1
Low Dose GLP-1 is an independent publication about taking GLP-1 medications at low doses — what the research does and does not support, what a small dose is likely to do, how people measure it, and what it costs from the companies that sell it.
What is here
- 87 evidence articles on low-dose semaglutide, tirzepatide and the newer drugs, each with its sources listed.
- 551 provider reviews of the telehealth companies that prescribe GLP-1 medication, and rankings that compare them on price and plan terms.
- 8 calculators for dose units, reconstitution, schedules and the real cost of a plan — arithmetic that runs in your browser, not dosing advice.
Who writes it
Everything here is written and edited under the pen name Lena Ortiz, the site's metabolic health editor. It is a pen name, not a clinician: the site makes no claim that a physician, pharmacist, nurse or dietitian wrote or medically reviewed what is published here. Her page explains what she covers and the rules every article and review follows.
Where the facts come from
Evidence articles cite primary research — peer-reviewed trials and studies — or the FDA prescribing information for the drug, for every medical or efficacy claim, and grade the strength of the human evidence claim by claim. Intentional microdosing is off-label and has no dedicated randomized trials, and every article says so.
Provider reviews are written from each company's own published pages: its pricing, its plan terms and how it describes its program. No company previews or approves its review.
How prices are checked
A price on this site is the price the company shows on its own public website — not a promotional rate from a referral link. Each review's byline gives the month that price was last read. Where a company publishes no price, or only shows one after an intake form, the review says so rather than estimating. Where a headline figure turns out to be a prepaid term or an introductory month, we print what you would actually pay. Prices change without notice, so confirm with the company before you start.
How the site is funded
Low Dose GLP-1 is free to read. Some companies pay us a commission when a reader signs up through our link, at no extra cost to the reader. Those partners are listed first on every ranking here, ahead of companies we have no commercial relationship with — that grouping is commercial, and we say so rather than call it a merit ranking. A partner's review carries the same trade-offs it would if it paid us nothing. The details are on our funding disclosure and in our editorial policy.
Corrections and contact
If a price, a fact or a citation is wrong, or you have a privacy request, email care@lowdoseglp1.com. Tell us the page and what you found; we check it against the original source, correct the page and note the change.
Nothing here is medical advice. A GLP-1 medication, at any dose, is a prescription decision to make with a licensed clinician.
