Noom Microdose GLP-1: What It Is and What It Costs

Most companies in this space describe a low dose without selling one. Noom is one of the few that puts the word on the product: the Noom Microdose GLP-1 Rx Program is a named tier you can buy, not a smaller amount of a standard plan negotiated afterwards. That matters, because "we can start you low" and "this is the low-dose plan, here is its price" are different commitments.

We priced the whole ladder on Noom's own pages, and there are two things worth knowing before you sign up — neither of them hidden, both easy to skim past.

The three tiers, as Noom publishes them

Noom's pricing page shows the same shape for each tier: a figure to get started, then a standing monthly rate after the first supply, billed quarterly.

• •Noom Microdose GLP-1 Rx — $79 to get started, then $179/month after the first 4-week supply.
• •Noom GLP-1 Rx — $129 to get started, then $249/month.
• •Noom GLP-1 Rx Plus, which Noom says targets both GLP-1 and GIP receptors — $149 to get started, then $299/month.

Brand-name medication is a separate track. Telehealth for a branded drug is $39 to get started, then $129/month, and the medication itself is not included.

Noom also lists a second product with "microdose" in its description, the Proactive Health GLP-1 Rx Program. It is pitched at health benefits rather than weight loss, costs $149 every 4 weeks, includes at-home testing of 17 biomarkers, and runs a 15-week first term with 16-week renewals.

Credit where it is due. Publishing both the intro figure and the standing rate on the same card, across three tiers, is more transparency than most of the providers on our provider list manage — many print only the number that flatters them.

Trap one: the advertised price is the first supply

The $79 buys the first 4-week supply. The recurring number is $179/month. That is stated plainly on the page, and it is still the single most common way a headline price misleads a shopper, because $79 is what sticks.

If you are comparing Noom against anything else, compare $179 against their standing rates, not $79 against theirs.

Trap two: the month is four weeks

This is the one that survives even careful reading. Noom's microdose page states the billing as $537 for 12 weeks, recurring — and describes the standing rate as $179/month.

Those two are consistent only if a "month" is four weeks. Twelve weeks divided into three four-week months is $179 each. But a calendar year holds 52 weeks, not 48, so a 12-week cycle recurs about 4.33 times a year rather than four:

• •$179 × 12 = $2,148 — what "per month" implies.

That is roughly 8.3% more than the monthly label suggests, or about one extra charge a year. It is the same arithmetic we found on several other providers, and we built the true cost calculator for exactly this. Convert to an annual figure before comparing anything.

One smaller inconsistency worth noting: Noom's microdose page prints its entry price more than one way. The price card says "$79 to get started," the FAQ on the same page still says the plan "starts at $49 for your first 4-week supply," and the footnote on the $179 figure reads "$79/month, billed as $537 for 12-weeks recurring." Only the card matches Noom's pricing page, so go by the card and confirm the figure at checkout.

What you are actually buying

Noom's model bundles medication, clinical visits and its coaching app into one subscription. The upside is that behavioral support is a real component rather than an upsell; the downside is that the medication is never priced separately, so you cannot tell what the drug costs versus what the program costs, and you cannot compare the drug line against a provider that sells only the drug.

Does a Noom microdose do more than a microdose from anywhere else?

No — and this is worth saying, because a familiar brand can make a practice feel more established than the evidence supports. Buying a low dose from a large company does not change the pharmacology. No trial has tested intentional microdosing, semaglutide's weight effect fell steadily as the dose fell in the phase 2 dose-ranging trial ¹, and a microdose sits below the 0.25 mg starting rung any label defines ².

The bottom line

Noom sells a genuine, explicitly named microdose product and publishes its price ladder more openly than most. Budget from $179/month, not $79 — and budget the year at roughly $2,327, not $2,148, because the billing month is a four-week supply. Then compare that annual figure against the flat-price providers, where holding a low dose does not cost more than a full one and the cycle is usually a calendar month.
