In one paragraph

The verdict

Hello Alpha is an online primary-care service for women, and weight loss is one of many conditions it treats under a monthly membership. For GLP-1s it prescribes only FDA-approved, brand-name medication, including the Wegovy pill and pen, Ozempic, Zepbound, Mounjaro and the newer Foundayo pill, and it works with your insurance to find the cheapest covered option. You get a consistent provider, appointment-free online visits, 24/7 messaging, free shipping or pickup at your pharmacy, and labs when you need them. The membership is month to month with no commitment. What it does not include is the drug. The real monthly cost is the membership plus whatever your insurer or the pharmacy charges, which can be a lot at cash price. There is no compounded option and no low-dose product, so a smaller dose would be a lower label dose your provider chooses.

Who it suits, and who it does not

A good fit if

  • You want brand-name medication and have insurance that may cover it
  • You want one provider for weight and other women's health needs
  • You want a month-to-month membership

Look elsewhere if

  • You are paying cash and want the lowest total cost
  • You want the medication included in one price
  • You want a compounded or low-dose option

Structure
Standard plan, self-directed low dose

No low-dose product of its own. Starting low means asking for a smaller amount inside a standard plan, at the standard plan's price.

235 of the 548 programs here price a small dose this way. Brand-name GLP-1s prescribed inside a women's primary-care membership, with the drug billed separately through insurance or at cash price. No low-dose product exists, so a smaller dose is a lower label dose chosen by the provider.

How the program works

Hello Alpha is an online primary-care service for women, with a dedicated provider, 24/7 messaging and appointment-free visits for weight loss, diabetes, menopause, mental health and more. For weight loss it prescribes only FDA-approved medications: the Wegovy pill and pen, Ozempic, Zepbound pens and vials, Mounjaro and the Foundayo pill, with Saxenda, Victoza, Trulicity and metformin also possible. It works with your insurance to find the lowest-cost option, ships prescriptions free or sends them to a local pharmacy, and sets up auto-refills. Labs are ordered if you need them. The membership is month to month and covers the care, not the drug. There is no compounded option and no low-dose product, so a smaller dose is a lower label dose your provider chooses.

The honest cons

The membership never includes the medication, so the real monthly cost is the fee plus the drug
  • Brand-name drugs at cash price are expensive without coverage
  • The membership payment is non-refundable once paid, outside an eligibility refund
  • No low-dose or microdose product is offered
  • Holding a branded GLP-1 below its labeled dose is off-label and unproven

Read this before you buy

Intentional GLP-1 microdosing is off-label and unproven — no randomized trial has established that a sub-label dose does anything, and any dose belongs with a clinician who knows your history. If you are going to have that conversation, have it with real numbers.
