Provider review
EllieMD review
A separate microdose program, and on one formula it costs more than the full program.
Microdose and weight-management programs are priced side by side, and the comparison does not run the same way for both formulas.

In one paragraph
The verdict
EllieMD runs microdosing as its own program, with a lower eligibility bar than its weight-management program and a framing around metabolic health and healthy aging rather than weight loss. You build the order in a selector: a base formula, then an additive such as B12, and every price is on screen before you give any details. Each order is a 12-week supply of three vials of a stated volume, with the dose set by the prescriber. Set the two programs side by side and the microdose is not reliably the cheaper one. On the single-agonist formula it costs more each month than the weight-management version of the same formula. Only on the dual formula is it a little cheaper. Neither formula names its drug; each is described only by the receptor it targets. Commitment is the other thing to weigh. There is an 84-day minimum, 12 weeks is shorter than three calendar months, all prescription sales are final once the pharmacy processes the order, and canceling before that costs an administrative fee. The pharmacy is named, though under two slightly different names.

Who it suits, and who it does not
A good fit if
- You want a microdose program with its own price rather than a request inside a weight-loss plan
- You want every price in front of you before intake
- You are interested in the dual-receptor formula, where the microdose is the cheaper line
Look elsewhere if
- You assume a microdose costs less: on the single-agonist formula it costs more
- You want to know which drug is in the vial by name
- You want a month-to-month plan or a refund if you change your mind

$229/mo GLP-1 microdose · $239/mo dual, 12-week supply
- Vs median
- $60/mo above the $169 median across the 261 of 407 programs here that publish a plain monthly rate
- Market
- $59–$1,300/mo is the full published spread on this site
- Structure
- Prices the low dose on its own
Publishes a price for a microdose track, but no standard-dose price alongside it — so you can cost the low dose, you just cannot see what it saves you.
23 of the 407 programs here price a small dose this way. A microdose program with its own eligibility rule and its own price per twelve-week supply, beside a weight-management program with prices of its own. The direction is mixed: on the single-agonist formula the microdose costs more than the weight-management version, and on the dual formula slightly less. Neither formula names its drug.

How the program works
EllieMD runs two GLP-1 programs side by side: weight management, for a BMI of 25 or more, and microdosing, for a BMI of 20 or more, pitched at metabolic health, inflammation and healthy aging rather than significant weight loss. Both are built in a step-by-step selector where you choose a base formula and, on the microdose side, an additive such as B12, glycine or L-carnitine. The formulas are named by receptor, GLP-1 or GLP-1/GIP, and never by drug. Each microdose order is three vials, 1 mL of the GLP-1 or 2 mL of the dual formula, meant to last 12 weeks, with the dose set by the prescriber. Prescriptions come from state-licensed physicians and are filled by a pharmacy the site names as Clover on one page and CloverX on another, which it calls its dedicated pharmacy. EllieMD describes itself as a technology platform rather than a medical provider, and it also runs a brand-partner program that sells through independent distributors.
The honest cons
On the GLP-1 formula the microdose costs more than the weight-loss version: $229 a month against $199 for the same 12-week supply. Only the dual formula is cheaper, $239 against $249
- Neither formula names its drug; each is described only by the receptor it acts on
- Every plan is a 12-week supply with an 84-day minimum, and 12 weeks is shorter than three calendar months, so the monthly figure understates a year of renewals
- All prescription sales are final once the pharmacy processes the order, a canceled order before that costs a $99 fee, and cancellation needs 48 hours' notice before renewal
- The pharmacy is named two different ways on two pages, and no milligram is published for either formula
- Compounded GLP-1s are not FDA-approved, and intentional microdosing is off-label and unproven

Intentional GLP-1 microdosing is off-label and unproven — no randomized trial has established that a sub-label dose does anything, and any dose belongs with a clinician who knows your history. If you are going to have that conversation, have it with real numbers.
